AKAMA on the hardstand Profile The name AKAMA means whale in one of the Queensland Aboriginal dialects. AKAMA is a full displacement motorboat, with a hull shape optimised to handle heavy seas. She is hull 2 of 29, built in the Asia Boat Works yard in Taiwan, to a design by James Krogen. Originally licensed in Hong Kong, then registered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, we registered her in Ottawa, Canada.
